Flower Tools

Your guide to EVERY kind of Flower Tool

FLOWER TOOLS ... what I aim to do is cover every search I can think of which has to do with tools for flowers!

Please, if I have not answered your particular flower and tool search, let me know.   I want to provide every answer possible.

Searching for something particular can be such an annoying pastime... many times I have typed queries in, only to be sent to some annoying general sales site where it is totally impossible to find anything, let alone ... "see the wood for the trees".

We have a numbered list of what is included on this webpage (in the order in which the different search ideas will appear on this page).

So, as this is a rather long page, you can just check what number you are looking for and scroll down to it... saving time. That's the plan anyway!

We have details of ...

1)  Flower tools for leatherworking
2)  Flower arranging tools
3)  A microwavable flower press
4)  Details of suppliers of 'Perfect Arrangers' [worldwide]
5)  Tools for flower gardening
6)  Pruners [secateurs]
7)  Book search [flower tools]
8)  And, if all else fails, we have quick links to
eBay for you to continue your search!

One thing applies to all tools and that is that the better the tool you purchase in the first place - and the better you care for it - the better the finished job will be.

Quality tools produce quality work and finishes... and they are usually easier to work with too!

My advice... buy quality tools, from quality specialist suppliers. You'll find them here!

Please note, some of these websites supply UK only, some USA, and some ship most of their products Internationally ... I will mention where the websites are based and any shipping details which are available.

To Our Tools Section

1. Flower Tools for Leatherworking

At this website which I recommend there is a large selection of Leather Flower Tools, including carving stamps and floral pictorial stamps which do not need carving knowledge.

If you are a skilled leather worker just looking for tools, then you will appreciate the professional attitude employed at this store.

For anyone looking to learn and take up leather working either as a hobby, or a full time employment, then you have reached the ideal place!

I just love the smell of new leather. What a gorgeous material to work with.

Have you ever been to a craft fair or an agricultural show with a craft pavillion? What a fascinating way to spend a few hours. I have often admired the handbags, belts, etcetera, at these shows... many of which were made in that beautiful thick leather which is so perfect for the wonderful carved pictures.

The acorns look lovely on small items, larger items can take the wonderful flowers, such as roses.

Do spend a few minutes getting to know this website, and all its sections... if you navigate to Leather on the left, go to leatherworking supplies, leatherworking stamps, and then carving stamps [floral pictorial stamps too]... have a look at the lovely detail.

I'm tempted to have a go myself when I get some free time. Luckily, they do ship internationally, though it may take a while for you to get your parcel!

The link you need to visit this totally fascinating and absorbing store is... Leatherworking... flower tools

Incidentally, there are loads more things here in addition to the flower tools. Just take a look at the free course called Introduction to Candlemaking... your instructor has well over 30 years experience. There are other free courses on Candlemaking too... and the selection of materials for the craft, and kits, leaflets and instructions, cannot be bettered.

You could be making delightful candles of all descriptions, including flowers, in no time at all! Candles for YOU!

2. Flower Arranging Tools

The list of flower tools for arranging flowers is long and complicated, even if you exclude vases and pots. Why not check out our web pages on these subjects?
Flower Pots
Flower Vases

If you are a seasoned flower arranger, then I expect you are just looking to supplement your tool collection.

If you are new to flower arranging then I am sure you will find an 'Aladdin's Cave' at the following destinations.

The first destination is based in Cornwall, UK and is a long established family business, very helpful.  Carnmeal.

If you click on 'Floral Accessories' - at the top right of the page a box with 'floral accessories' will appear.

Then, if you click on the little arrow, details of the sub-sections within this category will come up. For example 'florists tape to scissors' has, at present, 9 flower tools... including florists turntables.

We can also recommend a supplier for the US... www.countryhousefloral.com
All the mechanics and accessories required to properly teach or create a great floral design. Flower arranging supplies, garden tools, vases, mechanics, books, bases, flower holders, accessories...

They stock an excellent range of flower tools. Once you arrive at the website, if you look on the left, you will see 'Display Room' under CHF Shopping... a click here will take you to the tools.

One more thought, you could try ...

Mamas for interesting antique tools. A fascinating place to visit, even if you don't find what you are looking for!

3. A microwavable Flower Press

The link will take you to a worldwide list of distributors of microfleur. Being able to utilise a special microwave flower press makes the pastime so much easier, quicker, and more successful... the flowers keep their colors really well too.

As well as checking out the distributor list, you can also visit the 'Home' page to find interesting background information, ideas and help... Microfleur Distributors List.

4. Perfect Arrangers

These are new and interesting flower tools for flower arrangers, and, I think, well worth considering, especially for less formal arrangements. They seem especially suited to long lasting flowers.

You need to look at them in detail on the website and consider if they suit your needs... take the time, they could well save plenty of yours!

Perfect Arrangers ... I forgot to mention, this website is based in the US but they ship worldwide, with a long list of countries to choose from.

Arranged For You is a site designed by a garden clubber and flower arranger to supply all the tools and supplies that can be hard to find, along with learning pages to teach the art of design. Personal service is the hallmark of this shopping site, unfortunately selling to the U.S. only. This site is a source for the Perfect Arrangers so in demand in England, along with unique containers made by garden club potters.

5. Tools for Flower Gardening

General flower tools for gardening are available at the sites which I recommend below.

There are comprehensive selections, special offers, newsletters and links to be found which should all prove useful.

Why not have a nose round them all when you have time and see what is useful to you, personally, at each site?

For the UK we choose the most highly respected internet suppliers... Crocus, up-to-date always, with beautiful clear graphics, links to 'Charlie' and 'Alan'... a real award winning destination! With lots of quality flower tools for the gardener.

For the US we have...

Gardener's Supply Company - 15% off orders of $50 or more!
The link takes you to the 'Outlet'... if you don't find what you are looking for there... just scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the 'sitemap'.

If you are looking for flower tools, just go down the list to 'Tools' where you will find a list of categories to choose from. Alternatively, just type your search term into their 'Search' box on the opening page.

I just couldn't resist this. What a lovely idea!

6. Pruners, Secateurs

Good quality secateurs are vitally important flower tools... hence their own individual section...

Not only are they needed for pruning, but they are also important flower tools for picking foliage and flowers. If you pick your own roses, then you can pick and prune at the same time... far better for your rose bushes.

This pruner is the Felco No. 2. Just click the picture to read about these superior pruners/secateurs.

The link is to our US supplier, but, guess what... at the UK suppliers you will find exactly the same secateurs as the brand of choice...

And the... Felco No. 6 Pruner which is a slightly smaller pruner especially for smaller hands.

For the UK I have links to the same two extremely respected suppliers as above... the first is to the www.gonegardening.com website...
Gone Gardening... plenty of pruners to choose from here.

Click on the Wheelbarrow which is labelled 'The Garden'... then Garden Tools, Tools by Type, Secateurs, Bypass Secateurs.

And the last link for secateurs is to... Crocus, up-to-date always, with beautiful clear graphics, links to 'Charlie' and 'Alan's newsletter'... lots of quality flower tools for the gardener.

There are two boxes on the right... choose either. Look in the garden shed - click tools, and then secateurs... then click 'Go'. Or type secateurs into the bottom (or find me info on) box...then click 'Go'.

Crocus is a Garden Writers Guild Website of the Year Winner... in other words a very useful and helpful destination website with loads of free information available.

7. Book Search

This flower tools page is so long, I will keep this item short and sweet, though I am tempted to go into rhapsodies over this 'tool'!

Simply the best ... www.FetchBook.Info: New & Used Books
Find the Lowest Price - Compare more than a hundred book stores, 60,000 sellers, in a click.

Just type your search query into the box. If you want further books... click the 'similar to' under the book which is nearest to your search criteria.

8. Ebay

Or give eBay a try... it will take time... you could well get side-tracked, but you CAN find most things there.

eBay!
