This page has the title 'Flowers'... the page entitled 'Flower' is the page where you will find the general index to all the pages in the fresh florals section.

Each page will have it's own write-up, which will explain the contents of the page. I hope that this will save your time when you are searching for something in particular... for example, tips on conditioning roses.

I just hope this website will cover, all things 'flowery' with as much useful detail as possible, yet without waffle! That is the aim.

In that way we can save you both time and money. Time because everything will be together HERE, money because we shall be searching for the best value available to recommend to YOU our visitors.

Whatever it is that you are looking for... we aim to cover it somewhere within these pages.

(Please check the section on Floral Shows in the UK at the bottom of this page.)

Your search for wildflower Seeds can be accomplished within the wildflower pages.

Silk and dried [everlasting/artificial] plant material now has its own section.

Bulbs include tulips and lilies and many other beautiful seasonal specialities.

Also, floral art and floral photography are covered.

And the 'Courses' page has courses in garden design, floral art, etcetera.

Many people are looking for specific blooms... like daisies, roses, hawaiian, lilies, lotus blossoms, and tulips. Some search by color, for example, purple... or season, like Fall or Easter or Spring or Summer.

The above searches should be covered within the fresh flowers section... Please look on the 'Flower' page.

Here in the UK we are very lucky in our expert television coverage of all the major Floral Shows.

We can view them as just a wonderful aesthetic spectacle... or as a learning experience... or both. It doesn't matter which, but, in truth, for all those who enjoy plants in any way... they are a real joy!

To this list of shows held by the Royal Horticultural Society, add a list of Agricultural Shows which incorporate Floral sections... like the Royal Show at Stoneleigh near Kenilworth in Warwickshire [UK] held in early July... and you have a formidable list before you begin to mention the shows held in villages and towns up and down the country.

Late summer also sees the Sandringham Flower Show (Norfolk, UK) which used to be always visited by The Queen Mother. If you are a royal watcher it is a very good place to visit.

As well as all these possibilities to view plants there are many, many, gardens which are open to the paying public either individually, maybe all year round, or as part of the National Gardens Scheme... we are truly well catered for!

Cornwall is particularly well blessed with gardens to visit, the Spring being a wonderful time there.

Incidentally, if you are a dog lover and take your dog on holiday with you, then be assured there are plenty of gardens which welcome dogs on leads.

And, if you are interested in South African flowers... then there is a place in Cornwall which specialises in them too!

I could sound a bit like the Cornwall Tourist Board... but I really don't think there is anywhere to beat it, especially in Spring!
