February Wedding Flowers

If you're planning a February wedding flowers will play an important part and choosing the flowers is one of the big tasks you need to get done well in advance. There are many things to consider when you are picking out February wedding flowers, including your wedding colors, what you will be wearing, your personal style, and your budget. It can be difficult to decide which flowers you want for your winter wedding, so the following are a few ideas to get you started.



Idea #1 – Red is for Romance – One idea for your February wedding is to go with red flowers for the big day. Since Valentines Day is in February, many brides decide to go with traditional red roses for their bouquet; however, roses are not the only choice. There are many other red flowers that will look elegant and tasteful for a February wedding.

Idea #2 – Formal Flowers – If you're having a more formal wedding, you’ll want to go with flowers that are more formal too. Some great formal flowers to choose for a wedding in the month of February include roses, amaryllis, carnations, daffodils, primula, anemone, and even sunflowers. Any of these flowers are sure to compliment a more formal and traditional wedding.

Idea #3 – Wildflower Arrangements – Of course, if you are looking for something more casual, then you may want to consider going with wildflower arrangements for your February wedding flowers instead. There are a variety of flowers that are easily available that look great in a wildflower bouquet. Some of the flowers to choose from include daisies, sweet peas, ivy, lavender, reticulata, orchids, freesia, iris, mimosa, lily of the valley, violets, and gerberas.

Idea #4 – Order Fresh Flowers – Often you can get a great deal if you order fresh flowers to arrange yourself. You can get roses for at excellent prices if you order them directly and they will be delivered right to your home. However, once you get them you’ll want to be sure that you get them into some water as soon as possible and make sure that you give them plenty of room to breathe. You’ll want to be sure that they look great on your wedding day, so wait until the night before to actually arrange them.
