Crochet Flowers

Another new type of flower... Crochet Flowers... we are looking to include as many types of flower as we can think of!

The idea is to be a comprehensive pot-pourri of flower subjects.

I enjoy sewing and knitting, but when I picked up a book and taught myself to crochet from the instructions in it... I found it much quicker, easier, and more enjoyable.

If you don't already crochet why not give it a try.

An easy method is to make individual crochet flowers and make them into many varied projects by sewing them together... once you are proficient, you will be able to make half or quarter flowers and join them together with, perhaps, double crochet!

The idea for this page came to me when I received the e-mail which I am including extracts from below. They were staging a competition which asked for original ideas for using crochet flowers... and I'm sure they will have further competitions in the future.

There are many lovely crochet flower patterns available... the website owners are very helpful... and come up with many new ideas... and various free patterns. Why not visit the site... you will find links included in the extract below...

The address below was specifically for entering the June, 2005 competition... you can also read their words of encouragement...
