A short note about fashions and colors for Christmas before we get down to the real stars... the flowers themselves.

Each Christmas season brings forth new fashions and colors in vogue... but if you don't agree with the seasons current favorite... have what YOU like best. Pale blue and silver seems to predominate this year in Christmas cards!


Obviously, there are colors which are always associated with Christmas, like red, green, silver and gold... and you must decide whether you go for a single color theme, or use them all. You could include white too... with mistletoe and the Christmas flowers which are so aptly named 'Christmas Rose'.

If you want extra gold or silver decorations, and keep the kids amused, why not collect pine cones and teasel heads together [remember to strip off those vicious prickles from the stems] then they can spray paint them in your chosen color. Old clothes, newspaper, and maybe rubber gloves would probably be helpful!

In fashion, or not, what pleases you is what is important... enjoyment is first priority.

Once Christmas and the New Year have passed into history, you can opt for Hyacinths and indoor Daffodils to add cheer for both you and your home.
