I found this wonderful chocolates website purely by a lucky chance...you are just so lucky to have found it too! I was looking for a supplier of luxury gift baskets at the time for my... 'Gift Baskets' ... webpage. I got seriously sidetracked, (as any chocoholic worth their salt is always bound to do) when I found this website. You may say that chocolate has nothing to do with flowers... I disagree! On our 'Romance' page it features with flowers, and music, very prominently. I just wonder... do you know anything about website design? If you do, you will know that [like in books really] it is easier to read black print on a white background/paper... you only have to flick through magazines to see that, where they have flouted this rule, it is just so much more difficult to read the print.
So you are taught to use a white or very pale background, and black print. Aphrodite Chocolates have flouted all these rules... yet their website is totally perfect. It just seems to wrap you up in luxury... luxury chocolate! The colours, the rose, the story behind the name, everything is perfect... just wait 'til you taste that delicious chocolate. Aphrodite Handmade Chocolates - English Gourmet Luxury Chocolate! Handmade chocolates are really worth every penny, they bear no resemblance whatsoever to ordinary boxes of chocolate. The process is exacting and time consuming, even when done in premises which are set up especially for making the chocolates. I once visited a "shop" (for want of a better word), situated in an extremely out of the way place in rural Wales, which made chocolates, did coffees and teas, and also did demonstrations... it is still there today (and doing even better business... with sales worldwide) many years later. Going back still further I used to make them myself for friends and family for Christmas, and built up a very good collection of recipes, some glorious truffles and much more... I know the difficulties, but I also know how much better homemade and handmade ones are!
